It could be, if your period is late then it's probably not too early, unless you had an unusual cycle. after conception, you need about 10 days before you do a blood test to assure accuracy ~pawsalmighty

Answer . You can test by amniocentesis during the second trimester, anywhere from the 14th-20th weeks of pregnancy. Risks include a small chance of harming the baby and miscarriage. Other side effects may include cramping, leaking amniotic fluid, and vaginal bleeding. You can also test by chorionic villus sampling (CVS) from the 10th-13th weeks. A doctor's consent is needed to do either procedure for paternity testing.

Answer . hCG can be detected in urine or blood after implantation, which occurs six to twelve days after fertilization. 1 1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pregnancy_test
The very earliest a home pregnancy test can detect a pregnancy, is 6 DPO, or 6 days past ovulation. However, some babies will not implant until as late as 10-12 DPO, which in that case, a pregnancy test would not be able to detect a pregnancy until after the period is missed. For a pregnancy test to be able to detect a pregnancy, the baby has to have implanted into the uterine wall, so that hCG can be produced. HCG can be detected in the blood before it can be detected in the urine, so if you really want to know if you are pregnant, you might want to get a blood test done by your OB.

Answer There are several things that can contribute to a negative pregnancy test even if you are pregnant. Some medications can give you a false negative, the timing of the test can affect the results. If you did not follow directions properly; if you let the test sit for too long the results may read negative after a while. It is important to read the results within the amount of time given on the instructions of that particular pregnancy test you bought. To ensure the best results: . Take the test in the morning, if possible, because your hCG (pregnancy hormone) levels are at it's highest . Don't drink a bunch of fluids before taking the test because it will dilute your urine and can affect the results . Take the test no more than 1-2 days before expected period. Although some test say that you can see results up to 5 days before your missed period the percentage of accuracy is very low. . urinate for as long as possible on the foam like strip . wait for the results Answer Nowadays you can take a pregnancy test as early as 4 days before your next period is about to come. There are pregnancy tests in market which can tell even before 4 to 5 days before your pregnancy can come. But my doctor said that the HCG level in the body " doubles " every 48 hours, so if your pregnancy tests said -ve then try after 2 days as that might give a better result. Answer You can take a HPT as early as 4 days before your period is due. Make sure the HPT box says that it tests ? days before period. Or you can take it 1 to 2 days after your cycle is due. Pregnancy tests work by analysing the amount of pregnancy hormone present in your body. Generally, a urine pregnancy test is less accurate for two reasons: a) the hormone is being detected through urine, which can alter moreso than blood, depending on how much water you drink and whether or not you use first morning urine (first morning urine is better for pregnancy tests). b) the pregnancy test itself isn't as detailed and reliable as an analysed blood test. The moment the sperm fertilises the egg, the hormone pregnancy starts circulating in your blood. A blood pregnancy test ought to give clear results within a couple of days. Your GP may want to take more bloods a week or so afterwards to verify the result.
Call your local hospital; they should be able to tell you where to get one done. Or call the Health Department.

If you take a pregnancy test up to one month after miscarrying , you could get a false positive reading. It takes a month or two for your body's hormones to return to normal. So, hCG can be diagnosed within 9-10 days after conception, after the fertilized egg to penetrate the uterine wall. Take, for example, the average menstrual cycle is 28 days, ovulation accounts for 14 days, it turns out, that can be tested for 3-4 days before the expected date of menstruation. If your cycle is longer or shorter, then the same simple way you can calculate the days for more or less accurate diagnosis and for themselves. In my website I write about these and other issues.
On the father yes but the procedure to do it on the fetus is invasive and increases the risk for miscarriage so they wait until after birth.
